Course Objectives:

 At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

- Understand why feedback is essential
- Learn effective communication skills that encourage safety, trust, and connectivity
- Learn and practice in a safe environment the key behaviours needed to deliver meaningful feedback in a manner that preserves relationships
- Understand formal and informal feedback and coaching
- Use positive recognition feedback and constructive feedback confidently
- Apply a feedback framework to guide conversations

Target Student: 

This course is designed for leaders who wish to develop the necessary skills to improve their conversations with their teams that focus on growth and development through feedback.

Section 1: Feedback Starts with You

Learn what Emotional Intelligence is and how it can serve you in your conversations

Identify personal triggers and strategies for self-management

Gain awareness on how to respond rather than react

Section 2: Feedback Framework

Explore the key behaviors that promote feedback as a positive experience 

Learn the behaviors needed to create safety, dialogue, and positive communication  

- How to start the conversation
- Describe specifically what you have observed or experienced
- Describe your reactions
- Give the other person an opportunity to respond

Section 3: The Neuroscience of Feedback

How does the brain function when we receive feedback?

According to research, what does the brain need in order to promote optimal responses?

What is in our control to promote positive neuro responses that activate the ‘feel good’ hormones of oxytocin and dopamine?
