The Government of Canada (GOC) has developed a new records and documents archival and retrieval system, which will be implemented throughout all federal departments and agencies. GCDOCS is an electronic “library” that enables departments to create, borrow, manage and protect information and documents which aid in the distribution of government services.
The purpose of this course is to provide the basic skills required to utilize GCDOCS, particularly filing, storing, retrieving and sharing documents, using collaboration tools and utilizing search features.
After completing this course, students will be able to:
- Understand the use of permissions
- Navigate the GCDOCS environment
- Save, classify and store documents
- Create, use and share documents
- Search for documents using multiple search features
- Utilize collaboration tools
This course is designed for all Federal Government employees who are required to use GCDOCS in the scope of their day to day work.
