Course Length: 6 hours (1 day)
Researchers and business experts agree that people with high emotional intelligence (EI) are consistently the top performers in their organizations. They’re seen as more resilient, flexible, and respected. In this program, you’ll learn why many feel EI is one skill you must have to be successful in today’s workplace!
While many develop expertise in technical or task-oriented skills in order to enhance their careers, it is those who have a high level of awareness and control over their emotions, and use their emotions to connect with others and develop positive relationships, who will find even greater success in the workplace.
IQ will get you in the door, but it is your Emotional Intelligence, your ability to connect with others and manage the emotions of yourself and others, that will determine how successful you are in life.
- 90% of top performers score high on emotional intelligence
- A UC Berkeley study found that emotional intelligence was 400% more powerful than IQ when predicting who would have success in their field
